I'm in the final stages of constructing my pedestal cabinet. It is 4 player with 5 joysticks...4x 8-way for P1 - P4 and 1x dedicated 4-way (P1). I am using an iPAC Four as my encoder but really want ONLY the 4-way joystick to be the controller for ES. I'll have only 3 buttons dedicated to ES actions (Launch, Page Up and Page Down) which are aligned with the 4-way stick.

Rather than connecting the wires for the 4-way into the same connectors on the iPAC as the Player 1 8-way, is a better solution to just add a 2nd cheap encoder (Xinmo) and dedicate it to only the 4-way stick? Would this keep conflicts and programming to a minimum?

      TIA!

      John
