Hey guys, I restarted my retropie to move to a bigger micro sd card and I have to restart with all of my games that I got on it, so instead of pain stakingly re-download every game I decided to get a ROM pack. but they don't work. I got the GOODnes bundle but it only gives games in RAR form. I don't know what to do, do I have to get some sort of app to deal with this, do I have to get a new ROM pack and if so which one? Thanks

You can find the correct format for roms here, just find the system you need:
        https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Nintendo-Entertainment-System

Uncompress the .rar files with something like:
        http://www.7-zip.org/download.html

Once you unrar that set, you'll likely be looking at a lot of duplicates. Generally speaking, you're going to want to stick with the roms marked [!]. More information on this can be found here.

As other mentioned RAR needs unzipping it can be done with WINZIP if required, As mentioned @mediamogul good will have a lot of duplicates have you looked at No-Intro maybe a better option for you as they are cleaner sets

.7z is a compressed format, you need to open that and take out the compressed file.
