Pi Model or other hardware: Pi4
Power Supply used: Official 3 pin Uk Plug
      RetroPie Version Used: 4.6.7
      Built From: RetroPie website image
      Controller used: 8Bitdo SF30 Pro

My controller connects during Retropie boot (green light stops flashing and goes stable). When EmulationStation starts, it reports "no gamepads detected". If I press any button, it then works instantly.

If I restart the system, the controller connects again during boot. Then EmulationStation reports "no gamepads detected" and I need to power down the controller before it will be detected again.

None of this is a major problem, but I think it began after a recent core package update. Previously, EmulationStation was good at detecting these controllers on start/restart.

I've seen older posts suggesting that this is simply how it is with 8Bitdo bluetooth controllers, but this issue is new to me. I've tried removing and re-adding them in bluetooth config. Thanks!
