Kodi not fullscreen since a recent update
-
Kodi is desperately running at 720x480 with a black border at the bottom on my PAL CRT TV since a recent update.
You could actually see the remaining of the terminal (pi autologin) in the bottom black part while kodi is running.
I suspect the black border to be the shift between 480 and 576.
I can not change the resolution in the kodi parameters (it is greyed out).HDMI in config.txt is configured to 576i and the framebuffer to 768x576.
Emulstation is running perfectly full screen ...

Here is my
config.txt
file. With the PAL configuration I have the black border at the bottom of kodi, with the terminal still running in it.
With the NTSC configuration, kodi is full screen. It used to work perfectly with the PAL configuration.
#PAL 4:3 #sdtv_aspect=1 #sdtv_mode=2 #hdmi_group=1 #hdmi_mode=21 #framebuffer_width=768 #framebuffer_height=576 #overscan_scale=1 #NTSC 4:3 sdtv_aspect=1 sdtv_mode=0 hdmi_group=1 hdmi_mode=6 framebuffer_width=720 framebuffer_height=480 overscan_scale=1

Did you calibrate Kodi overscan within the app?
Btw are you outputting over hdmi and composite? Why do you have other mode configs in place?
If you can't resolve it, you would be better reporting on the raspberry pi forums where you may get the attention of a dev.
Maybe something changes with the composite modes. If the terminal is fine, then adjusting Kodi display should work. If the terminal is also out, you can adjust overscan in config.txt.
If you don't use overscan in config.txt you should disable overscan and remove overscan_scale
