Hello and welcome to this forum.

For a start, you could browse the Projects and Themes forum where many people show their builds, often with building reports and/or parts lists.

Do you want to build your cab from scratch or buy one of the many DIY kits out there and modify it to your needs?

Finally, some general advice I gave someone else some time ago:

my advice would be to acquire those parts first that define the parameters of others, and be prepared to handle surprises. Do wide-ranging research beforehand to learn what your options are; e.g. I only discovered the Mag-Stiks after I already bought the shell. Order a good time ahead so that you have everything ready when you're going to build. And measure, measure, measure to ensure that everything fits together.

@magico1234 No need to post a 2nd time. I've moved your post to the Help section, where it belongs.

@Clyde hi thanks. Yes I'm building from scratch my design. I'm going to using the pi 4 b. Obviously need a monitor, led buttons and joystick kit, USB speakers?, extension leads. First time using a pi so I'm going in blind here. If I put a retropie build on it...is everything on it..roms ect. What size sd card should I go for
              Cheers

Retropie doesn't come with any roms.

For your build, the picture you posted is from a company that builds these (unfortunately with roms), if you search for wall mounted arcade cabinet you will find it. It looks like they are using a 22" monitor and they don't seem to sell the cabinet by itself or the plans but you could try your luck and ask them. Looks like a cool design though, would be great if they just sold the build kit.

As Cyde mentioned, it's best to purchase your guts first and get those lined up. I tried to move from Sanwa sticks to Mag-Stik (for easier 4/8 way switching) which was a failure due to the mount plates being way different. I ended up not liking the Mag-Stik so it was a bit of wasted time though I did make some custom mount plates for the Mag-Stik that fit a Sanwa mount :)

Try searching the web for "wall mounted arcade cabinet schematics". There seem to be some to find, although alas, some inside walled gardens like Pinterest.
