Kodi does not send screen signal , in Pi 4.
-
Hello
For the first time I have installed Retropie on my Pi 4b, and installed Kodi on it. But in the first execution in emulstation, it does not show sounds or screen, I have reviewed the executions and they are in order. Possibly Kodi, can't find the HDMI Port.
I had the same problem in LibreElec.
My question is it possible to configure this? And where can I find that configuration file?
Regards.

@Marco-G This kind of cases are almost always your hdmi cable fault. Try with a different one, hdmi 2.0 and a small one preferably. Use the port closest the th usb-c port.

The HDMI cable is fine, it is new, what I am trying to say is that I have RetroPie, works well, already tested the emulators and they work, but I installed Kodi, with Retro Setup, and when I want to launch it in the Retro Pie emulstation, Kodi continues executed but there is no signal on the screen.

Then provide the info here: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first
And your Kodi debug log: https://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file -
I fix it. Just change the file config.txt of RetroPie, I did not know that kodi, took the launch parameters from the retropie config.tx file, add "gpu_mem=320", "hdmi_ignore_cec_init=1", after that, Kodi worked perfectly, no problem. Thanks for answer me.

@Marco-G gpu_mem=320 is pretty much essential if you want to play high bitrate 4k hevc. You don't need as much if you don't play this kind of media.
About hdmi_ignore_cec_init=1, what it does is to not switch (the TV) to the Raspberry Pi/Retropie source when it is started or rebooted. It has no effect in anything else. -
