      @zerojay so helpful!

It’s listed as a supported system at
      https://retropie.org.uk/docs/RetroAchievements/

If it’s not supported yet on the pi that’s fine. No need to act like I should know it’s not.

You asked for ideas on getting it working so that's what I gave you. Sorry if it wasn't the answer you were hoping for. shrug

For what it's worth, it doesn't work for me either (but I mainly use Drastic for DS for the speed which doesn't support them.)

@zerojay do you find any ds games do run ok with lr-desume? As every game I tried seemed very slow. I also had a try at compiling lr-melonds but that's slow too (although granted that's being developed so it may improve over time)

Edit:- nevermind I guess it's better than I thought as I just tried Phoenix Wright and it's perfectly fine. Also retroachievements do work on lr-desume 2015

@ffaddic What emulator are you using ? RetroAchievements are listed as supported for the Libretro cores (lr-desmume / lr-desmume2005), so if you're using DraStic, they will not work.
Please add more details about what system are you running on/RetroPie version/emulator (see https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first).

Yes - add support for RetroAchievements to the DS cores and send a pull request once it's done.

RetroAchievements are supported in the libretro cores, there's no need to be snarky.

I don't touch it as almost everything I want runs really well in Drastic (once you get past the annoying issue of setting it up with the menu video being out of sync).

@mito There was no snark, but sure.

I’ve tried both lr-desmune and lr-desmume2015. I’ve tested with the correct roms (verified the hash values). I’m using a pi4 with the latest official RetroPie setup file from the RetroPie website and I’ve applied all of the updates.

I’m mostly just curious if anyone has gotten them working DS on a Pi at all so I should know if it’s even possible currently.

Have you tried building the cores from source or were you installing the latest binaries?

Looks like they work for @retropieuser555.
Check if you have RetroAchievements enabled - open the RGUI while in-game and check the settings for Cheevos.

@zerojay Good idea. I’ll try uninstalling and then reinstalling from source just to see.

I mean they work in a sense that retroarch loads them up and recognises them but there is the tradeoff that lr-desume & lr-desume2015 do appear to have slower frame rates, brief freezes at loading points and audio drop outs.

Whereas drastic is miles more stable and a higher compatibility, but won't have the libretro bells and whistles like achievements or overlays.

Honestly if achievements are a deal breaker for you I'd play on a more powerful setup. Or wait until the lr core of drastic is released, whenever that will be (I think the Dev's own forum said sometime 2020 but, you know, 2020 things)
