Creating a Bluetooth Controller

Hey Guys,
I know 8bitdo has those great Bluetooth controller mod kits and, inspired by that, I want to turn some of my old controllers (not included in their line) from wired to Bluetooth. I've been researching and found that the Adafruit Bluefruit feather would work for me in my mod.I've found a couple of mentions in forums (Mention 1 + Mention 2), but no in depth discussion about connecting it, so I just want to see has anyone connected BlueFruit Feather to their retropie and done a write up or video?
