Chd games with lossy audio files
-
CHD is a great format for games, and I understand the point: for games preservation purposes, only lossless audio files are alowed.
But keeping in mind It's dificult to see the difference between a flac audio and a mp3-ogg-whatever audio file in CRT speakers, it would be great to allow lossy audio files in it.
I have found someone that has achieve to use lossy audio files in chd, so for example Sonic, that use lots of audio tracks, now it is like 100 mb full game, with no noticeable audio loss in a CRT.
I have tried to contact that person with no results. I have also tried to compress audio files to ogg (so it cuts frecuencies up and down) and then compress again to flac (so it would be, I guess, a flac audio file but with less frecuencies) and then make the CHD, with no results. The only clue is he says it is a CHD format with CD audio tracks pre-processed for more compression.
Do you have any chance how it is possible?

@Carcayu Please do not post links to ROM sites or disguise this a 'search google for x and follow the links'.

@mitu Sorry about that. All of the urls where he talks about lossy chd he also use it to upload roms, so I didn't know how to refer to that person and the method he uses.
Anyway, I have edited the first post. Sorry again
