Trying to use VICE with a TFT screen
-
I've been using an adafruit cupcade with Retropie for years now and most software is very co-operative with the framebuffer scaling onto the TFT screen however I was trying to use VICE the other day and it seems to render only the bottom corner of 1/4 of the C64 screen
I've tried ssh'ing into my machine and running x64sc with size forcing parameters, using software/ opengles render'ers
I've also tried various resolutions on the run command screen and vice seems to ignore it all and try to force a resolution
It always no mattern the params fed to it does this:
SDLVideo: VICII (active) 768x494 32bppHas anyone successfully gotten VICE to work with a TFT screen before?
thanks. -
After trying to troubleshoot my cupcade for too long and realizing it has been years since I set it up and forgot how it worked under the hood I re-imaged it with the latest retropie and followed Adafruits updated TFT tutorials
The only issue I ran into is when you install vice with retropie_setup.sh it requires libsdl2-image-2 but did not install it!
I manually apt-got the library and it works on a fresh install now

@CrazySpence did you update RetroPie-Setup first? That dependency was added recently.
