      Hi guys!

I'm a real newbie when it comes to RetroPie but I've managed to install it on my Raspberry Pi 4. I've got Final Fantasy IX in four .iso files, disc 1-4, in the roms/psx-folder. I don't want to play the game until I'm 100% sure I can change the discs. So through reading the "RetroPie PS1 docs" and forums I've made an .m3u playlist and changed the .iso-file names to:

      Final_Fantasy_IX.CD1
      Final_Fantasy_IX.CD2
      Final_Fantasy_IX.CD3
      Final_Fantasy_IX.CD4

I open the game through the RetroPie-menu and everything seems fine (I can start the game and play if I want to). In the FFIX menu, as an attempt to see if I can change discs, I open the Retroarch Quickmenu --> Diskcontrol --> Current Disk Image --> 2: Final_Fantasy_IX --> Insert Disk. When I click "New Game" in the FFIX-menu I get black screen and are thrown out of the game in to the RetroPie-menu again. This doesn't seem right? Or is it? Is there another way I can try this?

I've "installed" all the bios and .sbi files needed.

I have finish final fantasy 7,8,9 without problems with disk swapping. Better prefer USA versions of psx games because they don't need sbi files.

If you want to test ff9 better start the game from disk 2 and choose to start a new game, it will ask for disk1. Then change to disk1. If everything is ok the game will start.

My English isn't at a good level.

@windg Great tip! I started the game with disc 2 by changing the order in my m3u file so Final_Fantasy_IX.CD2 was the first one. Then I changed to CD1 when I was asked to and it worked!! Thanks.
