Hi all, I have a NesPi plus case with a raspberry pi 3 model B in it. I use 2 buffalo SNES style controllers. For the longest time I've been having issues with these wired controllers randomly disconnecting. I've done lots of troubleshooting over months with no luck. Bending the prongs inside the usb ports a little so they grip the controller plugs more, changing the usb port board all together, trying different controllers all with no luck. Today for some reason I decided to check the HDMI cable, I was amazed at what I found. While firmly holding the entire device down and not moving the controllers, I found that if I moved the HDMI cable, the controllers would disconnect and reconnect. Very bizarre!!! Not sure what the relation would be, but I tested this many times. Moving the HDMI cable at the pi end, also causes certain controller buttons to get pressed, at times it also causes the pi to crash. If I move the HDMI at the TV end, nothing happens. I will keep an eye on this. If anyone has an idea why the HDMI port/cable would affect the controllers, I would really like to heard about it. Thank you, and I hope this finding will help others.
