      system:
RetroPie 4.6.9 (from image at retropie.org)
      Raspberry Pi 4B, 4GB ram
      Raspian Buster
4 amp power supply from Vilros
      generic N64 USB controller
      log of incident

      Hey!

I am trying to run 1080 snowboarding on my system. I have been using Roslof's amazing guide to figure recommended emulator and video mode. When I set the emulator to lr-mupen64plus and option 52-54 (640x480), @ 60 Hz 4:3 aspect ratio, 25.20 Mhz, nhsync, nvsunc, driver), I have problems.

Specifically, the N64 screen and title screen show up fine, but when the demo launches, instead of seeing the demo I get an epilepsy non-friendly full flashing screen. If I push a button to end the demo, the regular game shows up with no problems. Any suggestions? I have tried using lr-mputen64plus-next and I have the same problem. I have changing the video settings to other 640x480 settings in the run command menu and they have the same results. Thanks in advance.

      Dave

@daviddraper hi Dave, did you ever get to the bottom of this? Unfortunately I'm getting the same issue (despite it being fine last night?!). The only change I made was trying out some shaders, which I since disabled but the problem still persists. Different Cores don't seem to help either. Exact same scenario you're describing with very similar kit. Hopefully you managed to fix it somehow!

@achillespilot Hey- I did get it worked out. What worked for me was lr-mupen64plus-next and video at 1920x1080 @ 60 Hz. The N64 logo when the rom launches looks like garbage but the intro and the game itself look great. Good luck!
