I think EmulationStation (and its skins) should have system logos that are Region dependent.
-
Think of it this way:
You have a bunch of SNES ROMs on your RetroPie, but the skin you're using doesn't give you much variety.
You're living in Central Europe, but you only get the American SNES Logo, and the Japanese Famicom one (both individually, but European ROMs are automatically placed in the American one).
While they already exist as separate entities, I think they shouldn't.
My suggestion:
EmulationStation should have an extra option to choose your location/region between PAL, NTSC or NTSC-J.Depending on what you chose, not only will it choose certain CRT Shaders to be the "default" for your country preference, but all of your ROMs will have the default Logo chosen for them in the skin, instead of being separate by region (no matter what region your games are, they will all be in the same place, and the Logo will remain the same depending on what your region is).
Example:
This is how it already looks in EmulationStation:
-SNES
-SNES(EU)
-SFC
-Genesis
-MegaDriveThis is how it should look:
[selected: NTSC]
-SNES
-Genesis[selected: PAL]
-SNES (Europe)
-MegaDrive[selected: NTSC-J]
-SFC
-MegaDriveI hope I'm not confusing anybody here... I just think this would be a much more comforting way or viewing your stuff in RetroPie. If you have a better idea than this, I'm all eyes.
