So Ive just reinstalled raspbian on my Pi 4 8gb, as well as a manual install of retropie. Everything has gone smoothly, except when I launch retropie from the desktop using the terminal, the display stays black. The display only comes on when I press the logo key or press "a" a few times to enter a rom. This makes me think that retro pi has loaded in, I'm just not seeing anything. I hope that makes sense.

Does anyone have an idea how I can fix this display problem? Is it to do with the monitor or some setting I've neglected? Sorry if this isn't enough info I'm pretty new to all of this still! Thanks in advance.
