Pi4
Official pi4 power supply
Version 4.7.1
Built from retropie website
PS3 controller via Bluetooth
Not sure how to replicate- keyboards no longer workSo; a relatively fresh install, apart from roms, the only things I’ve added were the bezel project, scraper and skyscraper but I’ve removed those to no avail.
Plugging in a keyboard just no longer gives any input. That’s both wired and wireless keyboards. I cannot f4 for example, nor get any keyboard input in any menu or game. I’ve restarted many times but haven’t yet uninstalled/reinstalled retropie.I’m removing the sd card so can get any files needed for diagnosis, if they’ve been created, and if you can point me where to look!

Try enabling SSH and connect to your Pi using Putty. Then run
dmesg > $HOME/RetroPie/roms/dmesg.txt
This should save the boot log to
\\retropie\roms\dmesg.txt
. Open the file, then post the output on pastebin.com.Have you tried connecting the keyboard(s) after boot, starting the Pi without anything connected on USB ?

I may have exceeded the maximum ‘user error’ level of stupidity here. I have more than one pi plugged in the tv and was simply plugging the keyboards into the wrong one. Please feel free to delete this topic, not just to save (my rather red) face but to prevent others from being mislead by my ineptitude! I apologise for wasting both of your time. -

I may have exceeded the maximum ‘user error’ level of stupidity here.Yeah, they promised to limit that variable to a bearable value in a future update of this universe fork, but I slowly begin to lose any confidence that they'll deliver that in my lifetime.
