Hi, I've tried to find posts where the original NES controller type (mine is USB) loads different load states whenever I call it, but I can't. For example, I'm playing Zelda 2 and my controller was mapped to save state by pressing up and select and load state with down and select; I'll save at a certain point and then it will load another state from another point I had saved. If I keep pressing load state it just shows me load state 3, 4, 6, 8, etc. Very annoying considering how hard that game is :)

The controller also skims through my roms automatically whenever I go back to my NES rom list, as well as even going back to another screen sometimes when I am trying to access options like Retroarch or other Pi settings.

I am using a 3B Pi with Retropie version 4.7.1.

Does anyone know why this happens? Is there a known setting that can fix this? I have been using this controller for a while, but recently it has been doing this odd behaviour, especially after updating the OS.

      Thanks

Can you test the controller on another system (PC ?) and see if it behaves similarly ? Could be a hardware problem.

@mitu So sorry for the delay...busy week and didn't have much time to play. Just tried my ps3 controller and yep, you're right it's simply the controller itself.
