      Hi.

I have a Giotech VX2 PS3 controler. It works fine in RetroPie and Atari 7800 games, but in Atari 2600 games, it freezes and black screen and constant buzzing sound. It stops as soon as I unplug controller.

I have tried to reconfigure controller, but still same problem.

      What could it be?

@tzinck Some more information would help, but is it the same emulator across those 2 systems, and if not, can you try another emulator?

I don't do Atari games, apologies, so maybe others have more insights. But logs would definitely help.

@pjft I just started on this tonight. I'm totally green. i just figured out that many other games works, but Atari 2600 games don't, and I thing it's the game pad at fault. I have 2 different game pads. I'm sorry I can't give you any more information. I simply don't know what i'm doing :-)

@tzinck For both systems? And the controller works for the 7800 games but not for 2600 ones in the same emulator?

This may help to get more details. https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first

Send over the verbose log at least (or see if it rings a bell to you, especially when you plug and unplug the controller), but without more details (RetroPie version, where did you install it from, etc) I imagine that even people who would be familiar with the Atari emulators would be grasping at straws.

@pjft the emulator for atari 7800 is called lr-prosystem. The emulator for Atari 2600 is called lr-stella. I tried to install an emulator called just "stella", I managed, but it does not show anywhere.

                I will check that link

                Thanks everyone :-)

@pjft I dont know what verbose log is.

I installed Retropie from https://retropie.org.uk/ all plug and play. It had a wsoftware that automatically flashed my sd card, and all was ready

@tzinck the link I shared mentioned how to retrieve the verbose log.
