Controls not correct after upgrade form 4.6.3 > 4.7.1 (Xbox 1 controller)
-
Hello,
I've taken a backup before the upgrade from 4.6 to 4.7 and it seems my controls are no longer the same. I use a Xbox One controller.
I ran jstest /dev/input/js0 and it's different. Only buttons 0-10 show, it use to be more from my notes I have. What I've noticed is the left and right trigger buttons no longer show as buttons 6 and 7 but as Axis 2 and 5.
I've tried copying over my C64 controls and Microsoft X-Box One pad (Firmware 2015) from my backup, but made no difference. I tried to go into play a Megadrive game and all I could do was exit the emulator.
Has anyone had anything similar? I can roll back I guess, but would like to use the new version. I have managed to get the new Streets of Rage Remake v5.2 working too, so I'd rather move forward than back.
Thanks

@g0nz0uk it could be that the driver support has changed in the kernel for this controller, and it's seen differently.
can you not just reset your controller configuration in emulationstation, and rebind? -
Choose Manage Packages.
Choose Manage Core Packages.
Choose emulationstation (Installed)
Choose Configurations / Options (it may also be named Configurations Tools)
Choose the option to Clear/Reset Emulation Station input configuration.
Choose Yes to proceed to clear the controller settings. Then when you return to ES you will be asked to rebind your controller, that will then filter through to all cores, etc.
