Cabinet suggestions needed

I am finishing up with my arcade build and I purchased a kit online. This is my first/last build so things keep coming up. The back of the cabinet can only be opened by unscrewing and there is no keyboard tray in front. I will need to continue using a keyboard when I go into MAME, and I purchased an amp that will at times need volume adjusting. Also not crazy about using a wireless keyboard because dont want to have gameplay issues. Would it make sense to put the pi in the back of the cabinet on the outside along with the amp so everything is accessible or is there a better way to handle this? Should I just get a wireless keyboard and use that instead allowing me to put the pi in the cabinet? SIDENOTE: I think I disabled bluetooth when I set my pi up a couple years ago due to various control issues.

@common763 Why can't you control things with the arcade controls? Also, are you in a standalone version of MAME?
