You need to tell people about your setup ... which is in the link the other user posted (example below)

also, there are several versions of MAME available on RetroPie ... you haven't told us which version you're using either.

            Pi Model or other hardware: (B, B+, 2 B, 3, X86 PC etc..)
Power Supply used: (If using a Pi)
RetroPie Version Used (eg 3.6, 3.8.1, 4.1 - do not write latest):
Built From: (Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website, Berryboot, or on top of existing OS etc.. - please provide the filename of any image used)
            USB Devices connected:
            Controller used:
            Error messages received:
            Verbose log (if relevant):
Guide used: (Mention if you followed a guide)
File: (File with issue - with FULL path)
Emulator: (Name of emulator - if applicable)
Attachment of config files: (PLEASE USE PASTEBIN.COM FOR LARGE LOGS)

@chicuelo thanks for the video buddy ! I've tried using f2 on the keyboard but nothing happens ? I'm running retropie version 4:3, is there something in the retropie/arch menu I need to change to make f2 work to get into the test menu ?

@ndk1979 you are using a libretro port of MAME (i guess you dont know anything about your setup because you are using a prebuilt).
F2 does not work with that.

@sirhenrythe5th can you advise on how to make f2 work or send a link with instructions on how to change it please?

Obviously I'm not a serious tech head, I just want to play mortal kombat with sound 😂

@ndk1979 please provide the information as requested here: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first

As you can see, people are trying to help but having to guess at how you've configured your setup and how you're running the game, and with what emulator. If you can give us more information it will enable us to assist better.
