      I seem to be having problems setting up my controllers, Although my controller seems to be working in the menu system when I start a game it doesn't respond.

      I have paired and mapped and restarted

      The light on my 8bitdo show its controller 4 , how can I change this controller to be my main (or am I barking up the wrong tree).

      Also what do I do if I open a game only to find out my controller isnt working ? At the moment I am doing a hard reboot.

      Many thanks

        @ringus http://www.retro-programming.de/retro-welt-2/hardware/raspberry-pi-als-emulator-retropie/retropie-controller-einrichten/#manuell

        In German but easy to follow (google translate helps)
        This now works for me but not through the main menu retroarch settings (had changed to save on exit), I had to do it when launching the game now the controller finally works

            Please add more info about your system, as detailed in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

            When you configure your controller, as detailed in the Docs, RetroPie will create automatically a controller configuration for RetroArch, so you shouldn't need to configure it manually there.
