I'm running Ubuntu 20.04 on a normal PC not a Pi. I just can't seem to be able to get emulation station to see where my roms are. I can't seem to find any good info for doing this. I'm not moving them to a usb drive and Im not on a Pi. I just want it to look for my roms in a folder on another drive. Thanks for the help.

@rubicon0630 Actually I think I figured it out but still need help. I found the es_systems.cfg file in the etc folder. But when I edit the path to the roms nothing happens. if I edit the path to my documents folder which has no spaces in the file path it works. So it must be how I'm typing the path. any suggestions.

        /mnt/Retro Drive/Retropie/roms/nes

        I have tried

        /mnt/Retro\ Drive/Retropie/roms/nes

I have also tried to add " " to the path but that doesn't work either.

Are you sure your USB drive is mounted as /mnt/Retro Drive ? Is the user that's running EmulationStation (RetroPie installation user) able to access the driver and its contents ?
