8bitdo controller in psx games not working
-
Pi model : 4
8bitdo sn30+, with newest firmware (4.2?)
retropie version: 4.7.1
image is the image from retropie.org.ukHello I used to have a third party image but i switch to the image offered at retropie.org.uk, it is much better so thank you for that. It has helped as I now can get 2 8bitdo controllers to work simultaneously.
My question is this. I cannot get even a single 8bitdo pro+ controller to work on the psx emulation. It is updated to firmware 4.2 which is the latest firmware as far as i can tell. It is in bluetooth mode and it works fine in the retropie menus, if i use my keyboard in the game menu to enter retroarch the controller also works there , but it just does not twork in game (i cant for example exit to retroarch using the controller only my separate keyboard). I have seen all the forum posts and the docs about the oddness of controllers in psx emulation, but no permutation of retroarch settings, core map saving, analog, dualshock, standard etc seems to do anything. If you have any ideas please let me know. Also please let me know What commands / information you need me to run in the command line or elsewhere to be able to help? I am happy to do it. Thank you.
