      OK,

      ES is going off the right side of the screen. I have been able to rotate the screen per recommendations and that works fine. I am using an Emerson TV on its side as a monitor andI have made these adjustments to various files.

      First the cmd.txt:

      cmdline.txt:
      .....video=HDMI-A-1:1024x768M@60,rotate=90

      I also added the x,y, and z parameters after rotate=90 and it didn't make a difference (setting each to 10).

      If I adjust the resolution to 768x768, ES is perfectly centered, but the top of games using MAME is cutoff as is the top parts any the [TAB] menu.

      If I adjust the 768 x 768 to 1266 x 768 (resolution of the screen), ES goes off the right side. But, when I play MAME games (or N64, NES, etc.), the screen is centered and the games look great. But, ES being off center means I can't read all of the menus (especially the controller config menu).

      Second file that has been modified is config.txt:

      I added:

      overscan_top=16
      overscan_bottom=16
      overscan_top=16
      overscan_bottom=16

      display_rotate=1
      overscan_scale=1

      Anything else I need to try?

      What does frame buffer_width and framebuffer_height affect?

      Thanks!

          Is there any reason you haven't changed it to 768x1024? or 768x1266?

            That actually makes it worse. Its weird.
