Can some version of mame other than mame2010 ,be able to play killer instict 1 or 2 ?

@kounabi22 2003 can also, so it should be in every version at least since then. performance will be bad on pi systems regardless.

i have try it but it wont start in mame2003 only it start to play on mame2010

i use the same roms chds/img for both mame but only mame2010 run.

start by reading retropie documentation about romsets

Mame 2003 catver.ini also contains data on games definitively known not to work, as well as sorting data for mature games and other, less desirable, romsets.

i check the ini and inside are the 2 ki games so it dont support it ;(

no you didn't, if you did you would know that romsets are often specific to one emulator and its version, so a mame2010 rom/chd not working in mame2003 is perfectly normal.

i know that each emulator need spefic rom set but i try so many from sites that was for mame2003 but nothing work...only mame 2010 ....im hunting ghosts if ki1 and 2 are not supported by mame2003

ok did one last try...and it work.... sorry for trouble..

ki1 play well
ki2 slower

but still they are better versions of mame2010

retropie also has a documentation about clrmamepro, which allows to ascertain the romset is compatible with the emulator instead of trying random romsets...
