Sound Issues with System 32 Games in MAME2003, 2010 and 2016 (Jurassic Park)

Setup
Raspberry Pi 4 4GB ram
Official Raspberry PI USB-C AC Adapter
Retropie v4.7.1
8BitDo Arcade Stick in XBOX mode https://www.8bitdo.com/arcade-stick/
8BitDo SN30 Pro+ ( https://www.8bitdo.com/sn30-pro-plus/ )Just having some weird sound issues with System 32 games.
The best example I can give is Jurassic Park on Mame. I was told it performs better on 2010 and that 2016 is spot on, which it seems to be true, but sound regularly cuts out when a dinosaur (ex. T-rex in the opening stage) roars at the player.
During the roar of these dinos, all sound cuts out. Similar happens in other games, but this is the best example.Am I missing a sample?
Are my samples in the wrong place?
I've been putting them in their respective folders
/home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS/mame#/samples/
Such as /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS/mame2016/samples/ (Is this the correct folder?)Thank you for your help!

Anyone run into this?

@jiryn there's most like improper emulation in older cores and maybe even into current mame. Mame2003 lists this as imperfect graphics. Can't comment on the sound though but there's no samples I see for it. For reference you can look here https://buildbot.libretro.com/compatibility_lists/

Looks like a performance issue to me. In the first place this system is not "low-spec device" friendly. Did you try overclocking your pi4 ? Also, i think i saw various reports over the years about people having performance issues when connecting bluetooth controllers, especially from 8bitdo brand, so maybe test with a wired controller to rule out such an issue.

There were many fixes between 0.78 and 0.139, on both sound and gfx, not sure which version of the driver mame2003+ is currently using. Current MAME driver still has some gfx issues.

@barbudreadmon
Interesting, and I never use the controllers in bluetooth mood, they are always hard wired to the console with USBC
Never tried overclocking, just use it stock for the most part.More interested in the best em ups anyways, but Jurassic Park was always a fav.

The Sega system 32 graphical rewrite circa MAME97-98 will always cause performance issues on lesser devices,
as @barbudreadmon suggested quite often this can cause skipping and or other sound issues. MAME2003
is one of the fastest cores and apart from that it uses the faster although slightly more imperfect system 32
video code from before the big rewrite i mentioned above. So it might be your best bet to get the best performance on your device of choice and may sort your sound problems
when playing Jurassic Park it's worth a try at least.
