      Hi

I'm concerned about the SDcard's life, because I have a Pi (server) that I use and the card burned - what a pain it was to configure everything and put it back online!!
What I'd like to know, as a linux/retropie noob, is if there is any tutorial on how to optimize the retropie installation in order to use less sdcard writing and more external or memory reading/writing. For example, to disable logs - I have no idea how to do that.
All I've managed to do so fa, and it took me a few days, was to transfer the games I have on an external drive along with their thumbs and gamelist.xml files. What else would you do to set the sdcard 'work' to a minimum.

ps I won't bother you with my configs because this is a general question.

Interesting question, I've been using a Pi 3B+ with a 32GB Class 10 Kingston microSD card, running Retropie 24/7 for more than two years. I've not experienced any trouble at all. Most of the time, the Pi is idle, between gaming sessions and using Kodi a few hours per day. Writing speeds and fsck reports look good too.
