      Hello there,

For some reason, my Sega Cd Games won't load. Every time I try, I get kicked out back to the Emulation Station select screen. Looking in the runcommand log finds this error:

libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to authenticate

      What am I doing wrong?

      Raspberry Pi model: Pi 400
      Version of RetroPie: 4.7.6
Tested on multiple emulators, all errored out.

This is my first forum post so forgive me if I have done anything wrong.

Are you running RetroPie (EmulationStation) from a desktop session ? This is not a supported configuration - how did you install RetroPie ?

I downloaded a pre-installed image and installed the PIXEL desktop environment. Tried playing games without desktop loaded, still get the same result.

@w1-1master We don't support 3rd party images - use the image from retropie.org.uk/download and see if you get the same problem.

Oops, meant to say I got the image from the RetroPie website.

@w1-1master Please post the runcommand log - with verbose logging turned on - on pastebin.com.

                  Here you go: pastebin.com/gSW9pN3R

EDIT: That pastebin was for lr-genesis-plus-gx, here is the pastebin when I try and run it with lr-picodrive:

@w1-1master I don't see that error on the first log, but the second log spells out the issue it's running into:

                    [libretro ERROR] Missing BIOS

You need to have the BIOS in the right folder - /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS , if I'm reading it right.

I couldn't find any libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to authenticate error in either log, it's likely related to running from Pixel.
