RetroArch: Save Game Overrides missing options

In my example I'm using RetroPie with RetroArch Emulator Genesis Plus GX.
The global config Run-Ahead is 1 Frame.
For Cool Spot I have to turn Run-Ahead off.
The Cool Spot (Europe).cfg DOES NOT contain the run_ahead_enabled = "false" option. I had to EDIT it manually in the Cool Spot (Europe).cfg file.
I'm using the Quick Menu for setting the Latency and saving the game override.Am I doing it wrong or is it a RetroArch/RetroPie or else problem?
