Would RetroPie work with NanoPi?
-
Just something that I came across: http://www.friendlyarm.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=69&product_id=107 seems to be a reasonably powerful SBC that runs Debian. I was wondering if RetroPie could be used on it? Probably have to be source installed rather than binary but would it work? It seems quite a powerful little machine with good IO placment (all pretty much on one side) and also a USB header to put extras where you need them.
As it is only $25 I was thinking of buying one if there is any chance it would work!

Short answer - No.
Longer answer - Maybe IF the GPU has accelerated X, it could work from source as it does on a x86/x86_64 PC, but will no doubt require code changes to retropie-setup

Cheers for the reply :) Just something I came across and it is cheaper than the Pi for the power, plus it has a better IO arrangement then the Pi. Any-who, thanks for the answer :D
