Hi there! Just a quick and somewhat silly question:

I have 2 ibuffalo controllers set up on my rpi3. I picked up another one, and from emulation station I went into the start menu as usual and configured the new input. However, I realized to get out of the 'configure input' screen, I had to hit ESC on the keyboard - there was no way of exiting with the controllers.

Is there any way around this, or will I have to plug in a keyboard every time I wish to configure a new controller??

No - you only need a keyboard if you want to "cancel" the input configuration. When you have configured a controller you press the key you have configured as "a" on OK to save as detailed in the install intructions - https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/First-Installation (and the same when adding a new controller later)

What about if I enter the input config accidentally? It's a tad annoying having to plug in a keyboard every time.

You can use this ES fork which enables you to disable stuff to lock it down.

Alternatively, if you enter it accidentally, either reconfigure an existing controller, or get a bluetooth keyboard or something.

Yeah the problem occurred when I tried one of my SNK Joysticks, and it didn't detect the input. I had to hit ESC to cancel, and didn't have a keyboard. I realize now I can just reconfigure an existing controller to get out of the situation.

              Thanks for the feedback!
