displaying images to hdmi1 using fbi or fim
-
Hello,
I just recently updated to kernel 5.10 on my pi 4.
In my boot/config.txt, I've enabled kms:
dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3d
Because of this, I can no longer use omx image viewer to display images to hdmi1. omxiv takes in a command line flag of "-d 7" to display to hdmi1.
However, fbi and fim, which do work with kms, don't take in a display argument, they take in a frame buffer argument. And from everything I can see, there is only /dev/fb0 on the pi4, not a /dev/fb1.
So I'm wondering: is there a way to get fbi or fim to display an image to hdmi1? if not, does anyone know of an alternative program I can use? For context: the point of this is to display game marquees on my second display while I'm playing the game, and using kms is recommended to fix the screen tearing issues I've been seeing on the pi 4.
Thanks in advance.

Well I finally found another image viewer that lets me specify something to display on the second hdmi port: vlc!
But although it worked fine on FKMS, nothing showed up when I ran it with KMS... not sure if I’m doing something wrong or if that is expected.
