      Hello,

I followed this tutorial on how to setup video recording: https://www.artificialworlds.net/blog/2018/01/07/recording-gameplay-videos-on-retropie/comment-page-1/

      • I compiled the codecs and ffmpeg
      • I didn't recompile RetroArch (it already has ffmpeg support)
      • I copied the provided config file

Then I set up RetroArch to load the config file, set threads to 3 and saved the global config.

Now if I launch a game, open RA menu, and select "start recording", a video file is created at ~/, it works, it's good.

But I have set up my RetroPie install to use CRT shaders and display overlays around the screen. Those are not recorded, only the emulator's output is saved.

I understand I need to enable GPU recording, but if I activate it, as soon as I start recording, RA closes and the video file is empty.

      Am I missing something?

        up

Maybe it's not related to RetroPie and I should open an issue at Libretro's forums?
