Pi Model or other hardware: 4b
Power Supply used: https://www.adafruit.com/product/1566
RetroPie Version Used : retropie-buster-4.7.1-rpi4_400.img
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website
USB Devices connected: Uctronics 5 inch led screen
Controller used: Magicsee R1After trying multiple fixes, i am still getting a black screen when launching lynx games. i've tried installing handy from source (also beetle) but my problem persists. is there a fix for this? I'm not sure of the headerless vs. headered rom situation, can anyone tell me how to check if my games are either/or? everything else is working great! thanks to the community here..thanks in advance!

You may be missing the BIOS. Although I don’t think Handy needs a BIOS, Beetle does, so worth checking you have the right BIOS in the right folder with the correct name. See link below:

@gomineko thank you for pointing me in this direction. I DID have the lynxboot.img in my BIOS, so i decided to add it to my roms folder also...and it worked! YES!! i'm working with limited buttons so i am very excited to have the lynx up and running now! whooo!!

Did you reset the RetroArch configuration from the menu ? This resets the BIOS files location configured by RetroPie, so you may have similar issues with other emulation cores.

@mitu i didn't do that. SHOULD i do that? thank you!

No, you shouldn't, but if you're using a stock RetroPie image I don't understand how the BIOS folder was reset.
