Dip Switch help

Looking for help on how to change some games to a vertical display, I have a lot of games that are displaying correctly but certain games like the Pac Man games, Donkey Kong games, and a few others like Gorf all display horizontal. I have tried switching the cabinet settings in Dip Switches to Cocktail since I am using a A1U tabletop. Is there a certain Retropie or Retroarch setting I need to correct. Any help is appreciated

@tmoe01 Disable the auto-rotate. Check this thread for other advice on vertical screen use:
https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/5919/lr-mame2003-rom-specific-rotation-aspect-issuesBasically you'll want to have a config override for each vertical game. You'll probably want TATE mode enabled and auto-rotate disabled as core overrides and then have a rotation value for each game saved as a game override. (Some games will display upside down, so you have to rotate them 180 degrees, thus the need for a rotation override on some games.)

@thorr69 Thanks Im gonna give this a try tomorrow and let you know how it goes ;)

@thorr69 That was the answer!! I had to tweak it a little bit for my cab.
The settings that I had to change it to for the SFII cab was:video_allow_rotate = "true"
video_rotation = "2"
aspect_ratio_index = "21"
video_aspect_ratio_auto = "false"
video_aspect_ratio = "1.25"Hopefully this can also help others with the same issue going forward.
Now my task to tackle will be figuring out how to flip the screen for player 2.

this part might involve dipswitches, other clones, or maybe the service menu. look for options to enable cocktail mode, etc.
