States not Saving

Hi, I have been playing gran tourismo 2 for psx on ratropie for a long time and I have had this issue 2 times, I have played the game and I want to save a state, I save it and I continue playing, I want to save a state again so I try to do it and the progress bar appears ( as usual ) but no progress is made, so I have to turn off my raspberry and turn it on again, I can now save a state once, and then if I want to save for a second time I can't. My states and roms are in a usb drive, what sould I do?
The first time this happened to me I had to delete everything and start the game from the begining. -

Is your USB drive powering off (power-save) during gameplay ?
