Upgrade from Pi 0 to Pi 4?
-
Hi!
I have my fun little Retropie running on a Pi 0, but I want to upgrade to a Pi 4 so that I can play more CPU intensive games.
I tried just swapping out the SD card, but that didn't work (got an error: service failed to load...).
I realize that I probably need to download and use the Pi 4-specific image of Retropie, but what's the easiest way to transfer over my ROMS, emulators, custom gamelist and art, settings, etc.?

@billydent i copied all the data from my pi3 to the pi4 by connecting them both on the same router and used the Midnight Commander.
Worked like a charm. -

Backup your
configs
,roms
, andbios
folders over the network share, install a fresh image to the SD card, then transfer over your backed-up folders from the old install. -
Thanks to both of you! I have something like 90% of my stuff copied over and now just have to go through to tweak some of my custom settings.
