PiTFT 3.5" Rpi4 and Retropie not working.
-
Hi,
I have a new raspberry pi 4 and an adafruit 3.5" GPIO display, and these for some reason are not working in unison with Retropie?
I have tried to install both the Raspbian image and the Retropie image separately, and retropie onto raspbian, these both work fine. I can also use the Adafruit easy installation on Raspbian so that the display works, however, when trying to add the display to retropie, it does not work.I've tried to do this in different ways, editted some .txt config files, re-flashed about 10 times and I just can't seem the get the things to work together.
As of now I have flashed the latest Retropie, which works on my HDMI display, done the adafruit easy installation steps, which works. But instead of emulationstation running, I get the error message "failed to add service - already in use".
I've been trying for a while and I'm just stuck completely. Somebody help me out if they can please :)
Thanks!

After trying some other things, I now have the following errors:
Error creating SDL window! Could not initialise EGL
etc..I have no idea what an EGL is, so will have to have a google. Hopefully in the meantime, someone may be able to offer assistance.

Hm, let me guess - the installer removed the KMS overlay from
config.txt
and now there's no GPU driver for the Pi. Post yourconfig.txt
.
