Retropie - Amiberry games not loading Adf or Whdload

Hi.. I have an RP4 with retropie installed. I can get everything to work except amiberry. I have loaded all the kickstart roms and various lha files as well as some ADF files. They all Show in the amiga menu but when i run them i always get the blue amiga dos screen (release 1.3) which comes up with:
Unknown command IF
1>
Or Return code 20
any ideas what im doing wrong? Randomly i have an old. RP3 with the same amiga settings and they all seem to work fine on there. I want to get them working on my rp4 as this is the basis for my arcade unit.I have even deleted installed from source and binary bit still cant get it to work. Its so frustrating. All i really want to do is to get a version of swos or sensible soccer to work...!
Any help would be much appreciated.

Please give an example of a file that doesn't work. A logfile will be useful. Which ROM files did you install and to where? Which lha files are you trying?
