lr-mame2010 Multiplayer control setup issues
-
Hi,
I've recently stumbled upon the problem more people seem te be having: it doesn't seem to be possible to define controls for any player other than player 1 in LR-Mame2010. If you haven't noticed it, you can try for yourself. I'm using Retropie 4.7.1 but it doesn't matter what version of retropie you use, I suppose.
When using the tab menu in Mame, no inputs at all will be registered for P2 when you try to assign them.
When using the retroarch config files, it just doesn't take over the default general settings like LR-Mame2003 does, i.e. where LR-Mame2003 will just work out of the box for both players, LR-Mame2010 won't and can't be configured to work.It seems to be related to libretro, but unfortunately, this hasn't been fixed since it was first reported (at leas ~2016 I guess).
I would like to be able to play with 2 players at least, but sometimes even more players at the same time.
Is LR-Mame2010 not the right platform for this? I definitely hope that won't be the conclusion of this :-(Thanks in advance for sharing any insights etc!
