Booting From USB on PI4B
-
Current Set-up:
PI 4B
5.1 V 2.5A PSU
32 GB SD Card
128 GB Flash DriveI found Tango's guide for booting from usb on PI3B+, however except for some scattered links, I can't seem to find a definitive guide for booting retropie from PI4B.
Though, I did find guides on Youtube for booting Raspberry PI OS from usb, like this one:
Is it just a matter of following the exact same steps as raspberry pi os users, or is the process different for Retropie? Can I just copy the folder of roms from my existing flash drive into the USB device I will boot from?
I lost 2 SD Cards to data loss during power outages. As I understand it, changing to usb boot will make my setup more reliable in terms of preventing data loss, but are there other reasons that people change to USB Boot? Also, should I be using an M.2 SSD over a USB flash drive?

@hellothere try using the official retropie docs instead of a YouTube tutorial
