      Pi Model or other hardware: Raspberry Pi 400
      Power Supply used: Official Raspberry Pi Foundation USB-C AC Power Cord
      RetroPie Version Used (eg 3.6, 3.8.1, 4.1 - do not write latest): 4.7.15
      Built From: On top of Existing OS: Ubuntu 20.10 aarch64
      USB Devices connected: Official Raspberry Pi Mouse, SanDisk Ultra 32GB Flash Drive Ubuntu MATE is installed on this volume
      Controller used: None (yet)
      Error messages received: (Included logs and images)

      How to replicate the problem: Follow the guide above for standard installation

      The main reason I am using this approach instead of the pre-made .img.xz files is so I can use Dolphin.

        We don't support Ubuntu on the Pi, only Raspberry Pi OS. The doc page you linked is for PC installations.

          @wolfyn-claw I have had similar problems experimenting with Ubuntu 64bit. I don’t believe your going to get much help with that. However you could try installing retropie on raspberry pi is beta 64 version. It worked for me.

          You can't beat the classics(unless you copy them).
