Bug: ES video screensaver game info aligned center regardless of setting

RetroPie version 4.7.14
EmulationStation v2.9.6RP

Main menu >> UI settings >> screensaver settings >> video screensaver settings >> game info alignment doesn't seem to do anything. (I have OMX player "off" or the game info doesn't display at all.) Options are left and center but the text appears centered regardless of this setting. Game info is set to "start & end."

Confirmed my ~/.emulationstation/es_settings.cfg file contains the line:

<string name="SubtitleAlignment" value="left" />

It's not really a bug, the subtitle alignment is an omxplayer option. On the PI4, omxplayer doesn't support subtitles, so if you turned it off then the VLC based screensaver will be used, which doesn't have this option.

Ah, so wait. The option to align the subtitles works only for the mode where the subtitles themselves, don't? (I guess it works on hardware other than the Pi 4, where the OMX player can display subtitles?)

I don't, really. The alignment for subtitles is an OMX feature only - which is not supported by omxplayer anymore on the Pi4 - so there's little to do on the ES side here.
