Simple RasPlex Integration
-
I'm just curious as to how potentially difficult this would be? It looks as if RetroPie and RasPlex are running on top of fundamentally different OSes. I would essentially like to have RasPlex as an item on the RetroPie menu and be able to swap between them using the same controls seamlessly.
Any advice as to how to approach this would be appreciated.
I'd assume it would require some sort of dual boot setup, but if they could live in the same OS that would be ideal.

They can't be on the same OS. I don't know if Rasplex can work with Berryboot or something, but if not, then you are out of luck.

Hi @BuZz
I managed to find this: http://www.multibootpi.com/builds/retropie-3-6-rasplex-1-0-1-now-using-standard-skin/
If you follow through to the comments on 1 August, Ira Brown claims to have built it with the latest versions baked it (https://1drv.ms/u/s!AhlBmR4P1E4enYMYlRGFBA8ZaCP0VQ). Unfortunately my 8GB card was slightly too small to configure this so I am waiting on a larger one which should be delivered to me by Friday latest so I can test this implimentation.
Are there any potentially issues you forsee due to the fact that this is based on NOOBS? The most obvious one I see is changing themes and possible updates to ES.

I had the same question actually!
And this integration tool actually helped figure it out a bit! Thanks!
