need help on retropie

I have a raspiberry pi4 I just install retropie4 and the only problem i have is that I went in the retropie setup to install the commodore64 emulator vice with a problem error and try binary and source and will not install vice and I can not update retropie setup script all so as there may be a problem with retropie software. Can any one help

I just gave up on Retropie 4 it so bad I can not do any update it just keep on trying to do update with Error so i am format the sd card and no longer installing Retropie again.
