Occasional picture issues with Megadrives Roms

Hi all
Model: pi4 b
Retropie 4.7.18
Power Supply: suitable

So I'm experiencing some problems with megadrive roms when I select one only a quarter of the image will appear on the screen and the rest of it is just black screen. When I restart ES or shutdown and on again that particular rom will
be fine and a different one will have the problem. As far as I can tell it's only doing it for megadrive roms. Could this be a PSU issue?

I think it's a known issue. I just reset with hotkey+B a couple of times until it rights itself.

@sleve_mcdichael Yep exactly like this. I had a feeling it was a known issue but a difficult one to search for. Yes I've just learnt I can reset to normal again. Was there an actual fix for it?

I don't think so, or if there is it hasn't been integrated into the RetroPie fork yet. You could try a different emulator.

The hotkey reset can fix it many times but you will likely have to do it each time you launch a game.
Or you can try disabling widgets as instructed further down in the second link.
