hello i have install lr-mame current version for to play games of the following systems: apfm1000, apple 1 and 2, applegs, and others
i install rom and bios in this directory:

      Roms | home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-libretro
      Configuration | /opt/retropie/configs/mame-libretro
      BIOS | /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS/mame

the games don't start. mame cannot find the bios and drivers (I believe it is the hash file).
I put the hash file apfm1000.xml and bios apfm in:
      bios /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS/mame
      file hash /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS/mame/hash
      can someone help me?

i tried to put bios and has files in other directories but without success
in the image find the boot log of the rom

lr-mame is for arcade emulation only, you'd want to uselr-mess for other systems (SL) emulated in MAME.

          @mitu
the games i intend to emulate are in the mame compatible games list. see this link https://github.com/libretro/mame/tree/master/hash
mess is an emulator based on the mame engine. however mess does not include the games I intend to emulate. my problem is due to the lack of hash files and roms. i can't figure out which is the folder where to put these files in lr-mame. only lr-mame requires hash files and only for some consoles. for classic arcade games, the hash file is not required.
for example also in mess to emulate emerson arcadia I had to place the arcadia.xml file inside the hash folder in the folder where the roms are. unfortunately apfm1000 is not supported by mess

MESS is now - for quite some time - part of MAME, it's not a separate emulator. If MAME includes the games you want to play, it's either supported by lr-mame (arcade drivers) or lr-mess (non-arcade systems). You're trying to play a non-arcade title with lr-mame and this will not work.

Have you tried to create the folders for each system under roms (similar to how arcadia works), copy the ROMs there and try to run them via lr-mess ?

yes I have performed the same procedure already tested with arcadia games. i have tried both lr-mess and lr-mame and with both emulators i get the same errors.

I suggest you take a look at this topic, which aims to expand on the Mame/Mess emulators present in RetroPie and add new systems - probably some of them might be of interest to you.
