      I've Googled this high and low and have not been able to find anything.

      I set up my Pi 3B a couple of years ago with NES, SNES, and Genesis games, but after showing my kids some of the old games on there, I got the itch to expand my library so I put several more games on there including Neo-Geo, GBA, and Arcade games.

      I've got pretty much all the games I want on it now except for Power Instinct Legends. I know for Mame2003 I need ROMs from the Mame 0.78 romset, and I found a link onsome site that had zips of every game from the set, but this particular game (filename would be plegends.zip) was not in the set. I tried other 0.78 sets as well and no luck (although the other ones I found were not complete sets).

      I tried different ROMs from several different sites in hopes that one of them would suffice but none of them will load.

      Any ideas why it isn't in the 0.78 set? Was the game simply overlooked, or could there be a reason it wasn't included in 0.78? I know this is a totally random question but it is bugging me as this is the only thing left that is giving me issues.

        @sf_junkie The game simply hadn't been dumped yet. It appears to have not been dumped until at least 2005.

            @sf_junkie

            plegends is available to play in the "mame2003-plus" emulator. Searching for the rom in a similar way will locate it. 👍

              @sf_junkie afaik, MAME had known glitches in cave games until recently (2019 ?), so i wouldn't recommend using some very old emulator, especially since performance shouldn't be an issue with those cave games.

                @barbudreadmon luckily mame2003-plus drivers are updated with modern updates and fixes when feasibly possible. I have not found any specific changes or issues while testing power instinct legends personally, but I'm not very familiar with the game to be fair. That said, if you find any particular issues I'd be happy to see if the change or fix can be ported.

                  @mahoneyt944 I was mainly looking at the history of the official driver, which had quite a lot of fixes over the last 15 years. I don't know the status of mame2003+ about those fixes.
