    Retropie Not Booting From Terminal

      I have followed the docs to manually install retropie on my Raspberry Pi 3B, but it won't launch when I type "emulationstation" into terminal.

      I get this error:

      Oct 16 14:11:20 lvl0: 	Error creating SDL window!
      	Could not get EGL display
      Oct 16 14:11:20 lvl0: 	Renderer failed to initialize!
      Oct 16 14:11:20 lvl0: 	Window failed to initialize!
      
      

      Pi Model or other hardware: Pi 3B
      Power Supply used: A samsung phone charger
      RetroPie Version Used: 4.17.9
      Built From: Raspberry Pi OS (With desktop)
      USB Devices connected: HP Wired Mouse (X900) and Dell Wired Keyboard (KB1412)
      Controller used: XBOX 360 Wired USB
      Error messages received:

      Oct 16 14:11:20 lvl0: 	Error creating SDL window!

      How to replicate the problem: I'm just attempting to launch it from terminal (using the command "emulationstation")

      Please help

        @user1252574 You need to exit the desktop environment - RetroPie is not designed to be run from the Desktop on the RPI.
